Absentee Voting Information – Cullman County Primary Election

Absentee voting is officially underway for the May 19, 2026 Republican Primary Election in Cullman County.

If you will be unable to vote in person on Election Day, Alabama law allows qualified voters to cast an absentee ballot by mail or in person through the Cullman County Absentee Election Manager’s Office.

As your candidate for Sheriff, I encourage every eligible voter to make a plan, stay informed, and make your voice heard.

Absentee ballots returned in person must be received by the close of business on:

Monday, May 18, 2026

Returning Ballots By Mail

Mailed absentee ballots must be received no later than:

12:00 PM on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 (Election Day)


Common Reasons You May Qualify to Vote Absentee

You may qualify for absentee voting if:

  • You will be out of the county or state on Election Day
  • You have an illness or physical condition preventing you from voting in person
  • Your work schedule overlaps polling hours for at least 10 hours
  • You are a student attending school outside your home county
  • You are serving in the military or are a dependent of a service member
  • You are working as an election official or poll watcher

Emergency absentee voting options are also available for qualified voters facing medical emergencies or unexpected work-related travel.
